Description

Abstract

  • Transitional meningiomas arise from mixed origins, containing meningothelial components with fascicles of varying lengths and fibroblastic cells exhibiting syncytial patterns, along with whorling epithelioid cells and admixed spindle cell subtypes1.

  • Among the 15 histopathologic subtypes of meningiomas, transitional meningiomas are typically classified as WHO Grade I or Grade II tumors.

  • They often exhibit additional aggressiveness despite complete surgical resection3.

  • Clinical symptoms, including headache, paresis, and changes in mental state, depend on the tumor's location2.

  • We report the case of a patient presenting with a suspected seizure, which led to the discovery of a left frontal intracranial mass invading the frontal bone, highly suggestive of a transitional meningioma.
