Abstract
Hospice care plays a critical role in supporting patients and families at the end of life, yet many caregivers enter hospice with limited understanding of what to expect and how to navigate care. As palliative care expands, improving hospice education has become a key quality improvement priority. National guidelines emphasize clear communication and patient-centered care. Structured educational interventions can improve understanding and reduce caregiver burden but gaps remain in how effectively this information is communicated in practice. It remains unclear whether current hospice education fully meets caregiver needs in practice.
