Description
Abstract:
Introduction and Background: Functional constipation is defined by infrequent difficult
bowel movements, often manifested by fecal incontinence and withholding behaviors. In
contrast, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) presents a wider range of symptoms including
abdominal discomfort and irregular bowel habits. We aim to extend knowledge on the
occurrence of parents with IBS on pediatric patients diagnosed with functional
constipation in the Central Valley.
